Questions & Answers
- What kind of practices will be organized?
All practices are optional and you can only participate in them if you want to!
Each day we will do yoga sessions that combine calming and dynamic movements, with a focus on body awareness and conscious breathing, including selected pranayama exercises. These practices are suitable for beginners, with options for those seeking greater challenges. We will connect with the element “water” by using the healing and cleansing power of water to release energy blockages and restore the natural flow of energy in the body.
Additionally, there will be practices for the mind and spirit – meditations, breathing techniques and audio sessions from the Monroe Institute.
- What is a flotilla?
A flotilla is a group of yachts that sail together along a shared route. Flotillas can be dedicated to various themes, from relaxing retreats for the body and mind to private parties or team-building events with DJs and musical performers.
- Where does the flotilla sail?
The Retreat Flotilla departs from the island of Lefkada, Greece. Stops include some of the most spectacular spots around the Ionian archipelago: Meganisi, Ithaca, Kefalonia, Kastos, Kalamos, and Atokos.
- What should I take?
All you need is a swimsuit, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, personal accessories, water shoes (to protect from sea urchins), comfortable clothes, a yoga mat, a smile, and a spirit of adventure. We’ll take care of the rest.
- Where do we spend the night?
You will sleep in a cozy cabin aboard the catamaran, like a floating hotel room, with a private bathroom and toilet.
- Where will the practices take place?
Practices will take place on the catamaran, in the water and on some of the colorful wild beaches.
- What will be the food on board?
Healthy, delicious meals will be prepared by our onboard cooks (a cook on each catamaran), including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll also have the option to dine at local taverns in the towns we visit overnight.
- What are the drinks?
A variety of beverages will be available on board, ranging from water and aromatic coffee to non-alcoholic cocktails and fine spirits to celebrate your sea adventures.
- Is there medical insurance included and medical stuff on board?

- What extra activities can I do while sailing?
Enjoy a variety of activities such as diving, snorkelling, fishing, paddleboarding, sunbathing on deck, or relaxing with a book.
- What are the chances of getting seasick?
The likelihood of seasickness is minimal, as the lonian Sea is calmer than many other waters. The itinerary is carefully planned to keep us sheltered from waves, standing on the leeward side of the islands. Catamarans are stable and spacious, offering greater comfort than monohull yachts. Should you feel unwell, our skippers can provide tips to alleviate symptoms quickly. If the sea happens to be turbulent, that would be only for a short period of time.
- Can I jump from one catamaran to another?
Yes, you can jump from one catamaran to another. It’s encouraged, as it’s a great way to meet other members of the flotilla. This happens only when the catamarans are stationary and securely tied together.
- How do I get to the place of departure?
You can reach the marina by car. If this isn’t an option for you, let us know, and we’ll assist you in making travel arrangements.
- What is paddleboard yoga, and how can I participate?
Paddleboard yoga involves performing yoga on a large surfboard. It’s an excellent way to develop balance and focus, as even the slightest distraction could result in a refreshing dip in the water. Sessions are fun and engaging, with sign-ups available on-site.
- What is the Monroe Institute?
The Monroe Institute was founded in Virginia, USA, more than 30 years ago by Robert Monroe. He developed technology to synchronize brain waves in the two hemispheres of the human brain. He called it Hemi-Sync. Through scientific experiments involving tens of thousands of volunteers, Monroe discovered that synchronization unlocks human potential, enabling access to hidden talents and capabilities within the subconscious mind.
For years, Robert Monroe perfected the technology by mixing different sound frequencies and researching their influence. Driven by the intention to be of help to others, he was the main object of study in most of his works. He discovered frequencies that could lull people suffering from insomnia, thus freeing them from taking sleeping medication. His research extended even further and covered induction of various states such as out-of-body experiences, remote viewing, lucid dreaming, contact with recently deceased souls, development of healing abilities and much more.
Because of its scientific approach, devoid of beliefs and rituals, the Monroe Institute has attracted individuals from all walks of life all over the world. While many seek to master out-of-body experiences, participants often discover a deeper path inward, with out-of-body experiences serving as one of many techniques for personal growth and harmonious life.
